Description
The Wacissa River in North Florida is in fact a spring-fed stream with its headwaters located about a mile south of the town of Wacissa. It is popular for canoeing and kayaking and is one of the Natural beauties of this part of Florida. I have painted this in transparent watercolor and wanted to accentuate the light reflecting off the surface waters and the warmer lights from the sun shining through the tree foliage and Spanish Moss. Hopefully the principal vanishing point leads the viewers eye to the canoeists as they make their way into the middle distance. An osprey nest can be seen at the top of the middle distance tree with two ospreys approaching. Bill has been painting and selling his artworks and prints for over 30 years and they are collected worldwide. You will see a wide variety of subjects and many locations around the world when looking through his galleries on this site many of which have been inspired by his travels. There are also a wide variety of products available in addition to the prints and therefore the painting that you like can be seen on many items.
