Description
. A warm hazy early morning along the East River with the world famous Brooklyn Bridge the principal subject of this painting. I wanted to focus as much attention on the bridge as possible whilst also accurately depicting the skyline subdued against the mist from the river. I hope the Tug with its smoking stack adds movement to the scene and draws the viewers eye to the nearside section of the bridge. The nearside dock has a merry-go-round. I hope the subdued colors of the scene surrounding the bridge helps to emphasize its strength. This year the bridge has been opened for 130 years! It opened as an engineering masterpiece and at the time the longest suspension bridge in the world and the first one suspended with steel wire. Bill has been painting and selling his artworks and prints for over 30 years and they are collected worldwide. You will see a wide variety of subjects and many locations around the world when looking through his galleries on this site many of which have been inspired by his travels. There are also a wide variety of products available in addition to the prints and therefore the painting that you like can be seen on many items. Hopefully you will enjoy looking through Bill’s artworks and since he is painting full time please visit his site regularly to see the latest additions.
